The popular committees in Palestine decry the unjust persecution of leaders
of the popular resistance in Palestine. In particular, we strongly condemn
the Israeli Shin Bet for denying Mr. Iyad Burnat to leave Palestine. Eyad
is the head of the local Popular Committee to Resist the Settlements and
Apartheid Wall in Bilin. He was invited fora speaking tour in Italy and
Switzerland on the topic Palestinian nonviolent resistance. His hosts
including the mayer of Geneva (Remy Pigany ) and organizers of the Peace
march in Italy were dismayed when informed that the Israeli authorities
refused to let Mr. Burnat cross the bridge to Jordan on 1 May 2010.

AWALLS.ORG Weekends getting longer: Demonstrations throughout the West Bank on Thursday to Sunday. As time goes by and with no end to the occupation in sight, the popular demonstrations intensify, and more and more villages and towns take on weekly demonstrations. 

IMEMC Reports Hamza Samar Abu Maria, 18 months, has died of gas inhalation stemming from gas fired into his Beit Ommar home by Israeli soldiers clashing with local youth Friday.

That’s a strong statement. Did he get that information from his parents? Or, as we used to say growing up in Chicago, “Did your momma tell you that?”
