Report: IDF in Iraq
The Jerusalem Post Staff Sep. 29, 2002
Israeli special forces are operating inside western Iraq to locate missile launchers that could be used against Israel, according to a report in the recent issue of Jane's Foreign Report. Israeli officials refused to comment on the report.
According to the report, the elite General Staff Reconnaissance Unit was ordered to scout out and "find and identify places used by or likely to be used by Iraqi Scud missiles."
The newsletter stated that "neither Israel nor the US has a clue about what, if anything, Saddam Hussein is hiding," and claimed it was this "ignorance" that prompted Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to assign the elite commando unit to carry out the job.
The report stated that the Israeli operation was being carried out without the knowledge of the US, a fact that could raise tensions particularly at such a sensitive period, when the US is attempting to garner support for an offensive against Iraq in the Arab world.
Quoting Israeli sources, the report also claims that Israel is concerned that Iraq may employ kamikaze-style pilots to attack targets inside Israel using the methods deployed by Japan against the US troops in World War II.
The article also claimed that Israel had struck a secret agreement with Jordan whereby if necessary Israel will be permitted to use Jordanian air space. www.jpost.com/ add your comments

Saddam is not interested in hurting Israel. Our racially colored mental bunker-kibbutsnik-camp-with-palms is decomposing itself with a such speed that no SCUDS are needed to help the process.
Sharon and our Knesset "majority" cronies are the past.
IDF are paid to defend a phantom state.
All so called Special Operations are in the reality the supersecret woodoo tricks of shtetele barons whose sons and daughters prefer desert sands to the stinky political kitchen of their cooking with atom bombs pure parents, add your comments

I do not think this is the case, but if the IDF is in Iraq...will there be a established "security zone" for Israel after the war(if it comes to that)?
You see, some one million Jews have the right to return from Russia to Israel, some millions have the same right in the USA, and even more in South-America.
Israel has no set boarders, and keep on expanding on "disputed territories". The rethoric "natural expansion" has already been used. Lebensraum was the word some 60 years ago(not too optimistic, but the truth). A state without a leadership, or a dictator more friendly to the USA.....can it get more disputed? After all, this was the case in Jordan and Egypt, now the West Bank and Gaza. Lebanon is another case...still disputed. Land won in wars is the commen denominator. Israel will definetly kick Saddams ass and rather easily if they set their minds to it....but how much can/will Israel keep afterwards?
The furure will be very interesting
(It will most likely not happen, in fact I would not even bet one cent on this theory/wicked fantasy....... but then again....stanger things have happened) add your comments
