Re: Re: Hamas, promotes hatred of the Jews, by using The Protocols of the Elders of Zion
"(The Palestinians) would be crushed like grasshoppers ... heads smashed against the boulders and walls."
-- Isreali Prime Minister (at the time) Yitzhak Shamir in a speech to Jewish settlers New York Times April 1, 1988
Well, not quite. many of these "quotes" are not exactly quotes. The above "quote", from the NYT historical index actually is "We say to them from the heights of this mountain and from the perspective of thousands of years of history that they are like grasshopers compared to us" And he said this to reporters, not "settlers".
Why are 18 year old misquotes considered "news" anyway?
Many of the other "quotes" are from books that have never been published, or from journals so improperly cited as to be un verifiable. That level of "scholarship" (using that term lightly) casts strong doubts on the veracity of the entire post.
"[Israel will] create in the course of the next 10 or 20 years conditions which would attract natural and voluntary migration of the refugees from the Gaza Strip and the west Bank to Jordan. To achieve this we have to come to agreement with King Hussein and not with Yasser Arafat."
-- Yitzhak Rabin (a "Prince of Peace" by Clinton's standards), explaining his method of ethnically cleansing the occupied land without stirring a world outcry. (Quoted in David Shipler in the New York Times, 04/04/1983 citing Meir Cohen's remarks to the Knesset's foreign affairs and defense committee on March 16.)
The context of this quote has little to do with the article. The Shipler article is about Arab schoolgirls getting ill. There is a cite to Meir Cohen- saying he felt Israel made a grave mistake not expelling the 200,000 palestinianians in the West bank in 1967 (there were only 200,000? Thats not what you'd believe from reading Indy Bay). No Yitchak Rabin quote...the only thing re: ethnic cleansing was a lone voice saying "we shoulda...")
Stop me before I dissect any more of this trash....must get a life....ignore the haters.....
