A war on how the west isolated the Arab individual and destroyed his society by Dayana Khashsab 9:33am Mon Oct 6 '03 8888888888888888888888888 The bird came from no where and said I am aware of the Libyan woman.She is beatiful in her 20s and her father in his 50s and here mother .She has at least a sister,and they are traveling.O bird what are talking about,please make some sense. print article I was reading a material by a Tunisian writer in which he saw the west as evil,it destroyed Arab society,it isolated the individual and made him marginal.The individual is so hopless,helpless,and so nonesense,etc to the end of retoric.He wrote this during the peak of Existensialism in France,and he was partialy educated in France.He is passimistic,and feels isolated from his community,and so powerless in front of the gaint power of the west.This man actualy stole the langage of existentialism and applied it to the West-Arab-Islamic contact.I say stole because he failed to credit existensailism in his writing.the sense of alienation and inability to control what you produce in whatever has been the source of complains by many westerners,including Marx and others who totaly approach the subject from deferent angel.If this writer goes back to alienation in Islamic religious litereture he will find rich materials to write about.There are versus in the Kuran that were interpreted to make the individual alientated and isolated from his community,even in prphet sayings and even in the writings of Muslim scholars of mediavel era.One for example is alghazali who is considered the greatist after Muhammad.This man was anti-social and very passimistic.In the Kuran man is desribed as unbiliver,in a hurry,and injust,etc and these made people sceptical of social justice,and social harmony,and socail peace.In fact there is a fierce attack on Muslim theologens and how they are so extremely corrupt by respected Muslim theologens.Abu Ala, who lived in medievel Islam was even so aggresive in his isolation.Why an educated Muslim who is aware of all this I suppose and more choose to ignore.Is it not that he perfectly falls in the category of people who cause people sick.In addition the sense of powerless is even in civilized societies like Israel,Great Britain and even America the greatist democracy in history.When the prophet died Muslims were ordered to distribute the lands open to few.But the Muslims under the leadership of Ummar decided to not for fear that this will deprive many and lead to unhappiness.This was a mistake,in the eyes of many who felt powerless to resist .Also those who recently embraced Islam were asked to be given money and this money has stoped and this was also a mistake in the eyes who felt week.Divorce three times at once was also made three times when during the life of Muhammad it was considered one,and husbands and wives were given the appotunity to sustain this marraige.The reasons given for making three to be one were not convincing and many pretend they are,and thus felt alianted.This was also a mistake in the eyes of many.Yet these policies were justified under consensus of the Muslim community.This concept that is so ambigious has been used to aliante generations after generations of Muslims.This Tunaisian radical Islamist has failed to see that alianation is in the roots of Muslim heritage,and yet he blaimed the west for his misery.A muslim must be honest or shot his mouth.Modern man every where feels week.Even an important figure like Anan who was enthusistic about solving Africa's problem ended up a depressed man even if he hide his depression in his smile.In his job he is feeling not free,and so millions of people.If a Muslim decided to write about alianation in Islam and publish his work he will be pesecuted,and even if he write so in the west his life will still be in denger and he will be considered as infidel,particualy if he say things that his community do not agree with and is not subject to discussion.Some educted and politians westerners who hold positions are also depressed and aliented because people think they can change and they feel week and prison. Educated people to repeat who live in the west,the source of freedom still feels alianted,and this is universal phenomena in all history of man.Because as educated people they seek perfection and become depressed of poverty,violence,disease,etc.Let.Even politians in the west who come to office after promises ended up depressed because they were not fully aware. add your comments Source file
