The IDF restricted the movement of the CPT in Hebron and is not permitting the team’s volunteers (currently there are about 10 volunteers present in Hebron) to enter area H1 where they perform most of their work. The CPT has been active in Hebron since 1995. Volunteers with the mission usually arrive for a period of about 3 months in which most of their work concentrates on escorting Palestinian children to school (due to attacks of settlers who throw rocks at the children), observing and monitoring the situation in the city, assistance to Palestinian families whose home is under threat of demolition or land under threat of expropriation, working closely with Israeli and other international peace groups.
