The Tel Aviv district court sentenced 7 years in jail and two years of probation for Moshe Katsav, the 8th prime minister of Israel. Katsav was found guilty in committing rape and sexual offences. The sentenced was handed 4 years and 8 month after Katsav approached the legal advisor. Ktsav claimed A', a former employe of the tourism department, which he raped was blackmailing him. Katsav will start his jail time on 8th May
