המתנחלים וכוחות הצבא מונעים באופן שיטתי את גישתם של תושבי דרום הר חברון לבורות המים שלהם. בשבועות האחרונים ניסו מתנחלים ממצפה יאיר וסוסיא לעצור את שאיבת המים מבאר השייכת לתושבי טוואמין. הצבא, בהסתמך בפסיקת בית משפט קבע שהשאיבה תמשך למרות מחאות המתנחלים החמושים שטענו שזה שטח פרטי שלהם. נוכחותנו במקום הבטיחה שהצבא לא יעגל פינות ויעצור את השאיבה, כפי שקרה בעבר. השבוע שוב נצא עם הפלסטינים תושבי דרום הר חברון לשאוב מים מבורותיהם ונעמוד על זכיותיהם היסודיות לצרכי קיומם הבסיסיים ביותר.

אנא הקפידו להגיע לנקודת המפגש בזמן. עיכוב ביציאה גורר אותנו אל תוך שעות החום, והופך את הפעילות להרבה פחות אפקטיבית (ונעימה)

The settlers and the military systematically deny the residents of theSouthern Hebron Hills access to their water cisterns. In recent weeks, settlers from Susya and Mitzpe Yair attempted on several occasions  again to prevent the residents of Tawamin from pumping water from their cistern. The army, relying on a court ruling, determined that the pumping will continue despite the settlers' unfounded claims that the cistern is located in their private property. Our presence ensured that the army will not stop the pumping (as happened in the past)   

This Saturday we will once again meet with the Palestinian residents of the Sothern Hebron Hills in order to pump water from their cisterns and assert their fundamental rights.

Please bring a hat and water, and a binocular (if you have one) and don’t forget to dress modestly (no shorts or sleeveless shirts) despite the heat.

Also, please make an effort to arrive at the meeting place on time. Delayed departure will mean that the activity will be carried out in the hottest hours of the day, rendering it less effective (and unpleasant)
