The problem for Shirl with the article is that it is non judgemental and therefore shakes us to the very core as we can no longer blame our own misfortune on others but are ourselves to blame. Thus, goys can no longer be the scapegoats because after one engages in self reflection he realizes that others are not responsible for his/her own misfortune.
