There was no attempt to destroy the wall. How could unarmed people non-violently destroy a wall defended by the Israeli Army? You must be joking... There was an attempt to open a gate, the opening of which Israel has been promising since it was established, but has never performed. The goal of the demonstration was to symbolically force open the gate in the Apartheid Wall, which separates the village of Anin from over 11,000 dunams/2,750 acres of its land. An Israeli wall has no place on Palestinian Territory. It's presence there constitutes an act of violence and terrorism against the Palestinian people, as does the presence of Israeli settlements/settlers on Palestinian soil.
