"Perhaps you don't remember that the fence was (and still is ) opposed by the fervent right wing in Israel as being the creation of a de facto PAlestinian state." Well, that is not the reason why they opposed it. They opposed it because it would establish a de facto *Israeli* border on the green line. Which would mean a return of Israel to the '67 border. Which they don't like. Now with the settlements planned inside it, it constitutes a de-facto border more to their liking. Now if only the PA could keep quiet the people outside the walls for you, that would make things even more perfect.
