People should not be held responsible for actions they had no control over. A teenager does not weigh the pros and cons of serving the occupation when s/he is not old enough to have a drink. It is only after they've lived on their own, independent of social conditioning that they are able to consciously evaluate their small part in the big picture. A person who lived up to society’s demands and served the army should not have his career options compromised by the work force. Likewise, an individual who actively refuses to serve in the military should not have doors slammed in his face as a result.
