She took the poeple's side - those who were occupied. She did not give a damm about Arafat or Sharon - her stand was against war, against occupation, against state teror and with those who did not have the power to protest all. The Ism as much as I know works both with palestinians and israelians - not taking any side but the side of the oppressed.
