Islam is not peace....nor is any other religiWednesday 19 Feb 2003

This war is not a left/right issue nor a relgious issue. It's an issue about truth....and that is what we are fighting for. I agree with you, Islam does not equal peace, and this can be verified, as you have argued, by paying a visit to Baghdad.

But no religion equals peace, as we have seen throughout history. More people have died in the name of religion than for any other cause.

Saddam, as we have seen, is not peaceful. He does not care for his people, nor for the rest of the Arabs in the Middle East. He uses the Israeli/Palestinian conflict as a tool for rallying Arabs to his cause. Be aware, Saddam cares NOT for the Arabs (nor the Iraqis). Saddam cares for himself and his glory. He tries to convince his people that his actions are in the name of Islam. But this is not true, as he has murdered countless numbers of his own people.

On that note, I do not support unilateral military action by the US (and its puppets) because the American people and the people of other countries are being mislead as to what the real cause of this war is. The Bush administration is causing fear throughout the US and world, for no reason other than to further political and economic goals. Lets face it. If Iraq had no oil, 100,000 troops would not currently be positioned in Kuwait.

Heres the bottom line: This war is about oil. This war is about fear. Oil is good, because it serves as the veins of the industrialist economy...Cheap oil is necessary for our current way of life. Fear is good because it rallies the public around a president, who is supposed to be responsible for their security. This war is a lie, and it should be called out as such. It is not about religion...It is not about politics...This war is about the truth, and its about time we get it!
