at the root of the conflict is Jerusalem. It is a Holy city for both Muslims and Jews. And the both want complete control over it. Also, there are two strips of land, kind of worthless if you ask me to be killing each other over, called the west bank and the gaza strip. The Jews say they belong to them and the Muslims likewise.
