Carmel Agrexco and Cargoflora's depots in Hayes Middlesex, London, UK were blockaded early this morning. The depots gates were blocked by protesters using D-Locks and Hares fencing. Cargoflora staff use force to remove protesters blocking their gates. Police looked on as workers wrenched open the metal gates, which were still D-Locked to the necks of the blockaders.

Carmel Agrexco is a partly Israeli state owned company, the largest exporter of agricultural produce from Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Cargoflora is a British company which has been handling Agrexco's imports and provides freight services for Israeli flowers.

 تمكنا اليوم من غلق أبواب مصانع كارمل أجريسكوا وكارجو فلورا لاحتجاج علي منتجاتهم غير القانونية المستوردة من المستوطنات و تضامناً مع الشعب الفلسطيني ،وقد قام خمسة أشخاص بإغلاق أبواب مصنع كارمل أجريكسو لمدة ٦ ساعات بعد أن قاموا بإحضار حواجز و تقييد أنفسهم فيها بالسلاسل ، قامت الشرطة بإزالة الحواجز بأن قطعت السلاسل .

في الوقت نفسه قام أربعة أشخاص بسد أبواب مصنع كارجو فلورا الذي يعمل مع كارمل أجريكسو ، و كان الهدف هو الايقاف التام لنشاط المصنعيين 

و لقد سمحت الشرطة لعمال مصنع كارجو فلورا بأن يقوموا بإزالة الحواجز بالقوة رغم وجود  أشخاص مقيدين فيها و هو ما كاد أن يتسبب في إيذأ شديد للنشطاء وعرضهم لألم و خطر شديدين 

و ناتيجة لذلك لم يستمر إغلاق كارجو فلورة لأكثر من أربع ساعات ،ورغم ذلك فإنها المرة الأولى التي يستهدف فيها المصنعيين معا و هو ما كبدهم خسائر مادية كثيرة .

Many of the flowers which Carmel distributes comes from the besieged Gaza Strip, a captive market for Israeli companies like Carmel-Agrexco. Israel has eased its siege on Gaza specifically to allow the export of flowers to Europe through Israeli companies. Roughly 450,000 flowers have been passing through the Gaza crossings each week, bound for the UK, Holland and other parts of Europe. Agrexco's flowers are also sourced from the occupied West Bank.

Carmel-Agrexco sources its cut flowers from Palestinian land illegally occupied by Israel. Agrexco owns packing houses situated on illegal settlements in the West Bank such as Tomer, Massua, Ro'i, Netiv Hagdud and Mehola. These settlements are constructed on land expropriated from Palestinians, who now have no option but to work for companies like Agrexco. The settlements are illegal under international law and the British government's position is that Israeli settlements in the West Bank are unlawful. Furthermore, Palestinian workers on these settlements are routinely paid under half the minimum wage and are often under-age.
